Dr. Dean Johnston is a neurologist, Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology and Associate Head of the Division of Neurology, University of British Columbia. He received his MD from UBC, followed by specialty training in Neurology.

He received further subspecialty training in cerebrovascular disease at Duke University Medical Center, where he completed a Masters of Health Science. Additional training in Electromyography and peripheral nerve disease was completed at the neuromuscular disease unit, VGH. Currently, he practices and teaches at St Paul's Hospital.
