Our team of specialists is nationally and internationally renowned and many have lectured and taught at centres all over the world. Most have fellowships and hold faculty positions at the University of British Columbia. All have been selected based on their reputation and expertise. Booking appointments is easy and hassle free. You can book your own appointment, and no referral is necessary, but we will require medical information to ensure you are seeing the right specialist for your given condition. All consults and assessments are a minimum of half hour long. In complex cases you may need an hour for your appointment. At the SRC we try our best to run on time and to provide a professional and comfortable environment where you can feel at ease.
A dictated report of the specialist’s findings will be provided generally within 5 business day. Pricing varies depending on complexity and the type of specialist being accessed. If you are unsure of what type of specialist you should be seeing our professional staff will help direct you. Please note that there are some restrictions and we are not approved to treat every type of condition. Virtual consults are also available for convenience and efficacy. The SRC can also expedite specialist appointments for an independent medical assessment for personal use such as insurance or special license.
World Class Sub-Specialists
For those traveling within the province or outside of the Province, the SRC can book consult and surgery in the same trip where we can. Generally, we start your consult virtually to ensure you are a candidate for surgery and fit for travel. Your in-person consultation generally occurs the day before surgery depending on the procedure. Complex surgeries may require two visits.

The SRC provides rapid access to world class specialists. While there have been some legislative changes in BC, that have created restrictions for BC residents with MSP, we continue to work hard to find solutions for patients locally and across the country.
