Dr. Van Laeken graduated from Medical School at the University of Ottawa in 1981 and obtained her Plastic Surgery training at the University of British Columbia from 1983 - 1988. Dr. Van Laeken completed her fellowship training in reconstructive microsurgery at the University of Toronto in 1989.

Dr. Van Laeken is a Plastic Surgeon, a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, a member of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons as well as the Canadian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Van Laeken specializes in Plastic, Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery.
